I made a comment on a post over at One Utah. Cliff thought enough of the comment to top post it and invite rebuttals. Cool. Then my wife pointed out the categories Cliff used for the post. I'll admit to being more than a bit perplexed.

Those categories smack of an ad-hominem, although I'm fine with anyone calling me a Republican.
I want thank you for your comments over there. I thought you were right on.
That's One Utah for you.
I gave up trying to dialogue with them. You try to maintaina civil discussion and they very likely go nuclear.
They're for "One Utah" only if you agree with them.
Good for you though. Someone's got to keep them on their toes.
I've gotten to know Cliff and have had him shellack me as well, but he's also said some good things.
Cliff is like a lot of people. He has a strong opinion, but he doesn't mean it personally.
Cliff and I disagree diametrically on some things, yet he recently invited me to be a contributor to OneUtah.
Therefore, I think they do allow dissenting comment, it's just that they attack it with all the fervor of their passionately held positions.
I, by the way, generally agree with your perspective of Michael Moore and other sentiments you expressed on the OneUtah site. So don't leave! Keep commenting, along with David and others who haven't been enamored by the responses of Cliff and others.
Think of it as educational and entertaining, and then it can be.
One Utah is a curious creature. It hasn't yet lived up to what I hoped for, but things can always change.
